With the beginning of Advent on Sunday, December 3rd, we begin making preparations for celebrating the birth of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Remember in all of your preparations, the cooking, shopping, decorating, wrapping of gifts, etc. to take some quiet time to reflect what Advent symbolizes:
• ‘Hope’ of Jesus’s coming
• ‘Faith’ demonstrated by Mary and Joseph on their journey to Bethlehem
• ‘Joy’ the Shepard’s felt at Jesus’s birth
• ‘Peace’ the message of the Angels – ‘Peace on Earth, Goodwill Toward Men’
I want to wish all of my sister Columbiettes a spiritual Advent and a Blessed and Merry Christmas!
May the Holy Family bless you and all of your families today and all the days to come.
